Car Compass — Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 October 2026

Summary

Car Compass collects no data. Nothing is stored, transmitted, or shared.

What the app collects

Nothing. Car Compass has no account system, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no server. It reads the device's location and heading in order to display your speed and direction of travel, and that information never leaves the device.

Permissions

The app requests location access only while it is in use, because the compass cannot function without it. Denying access simply means the compass has nothing to display; the rest of the app continues to work.

Third parties

No third-party services receive data from Car Compass, because no data is sent anywhere. Apple's standard App Store and iOS diagnostic collection is governed by Apple's own privacy policy, not this one.

Children

Car Compass is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revision date above changes with it, and the current version always lives at this address.
